Chantelle Oliver, CISR is the Supervisor of our Personal Lines Department. She is responsible for managing and supervising the Personal Lines Department while also maintaining the agency’s marketing and handling the new personal lines sales. We spent some time asking her a few questions so you can get to know a little more about who you’re working with when you talk to Chantelle.
Chantelle has been working in the industry for about 10 years. She started out with a nursing career, but when loans ran out, Chantelle joined the Army. Unfortunately, due to issues with her knees, she was unable to leave for boot camp and her doctor recommended she find a job where she could sit down. This is where her career in the Insurance field began. She found a job as a receptionist at an insurance agency and worked her way up!
Chantelle is married to her best friend, Jacob. They have 3 dogs, Daisy, Izzy, and Porter, and just welcomed a baby girl named Finley on January 3rd 2016!

- One word to describe yourself? Quirky
- If you could have one super power, what would you choose? I would want to fly!
- Favorite song to sing at karaoke? “Shoop” by Salt N’ Pepa
- Favorite sport & team? St. Louis Cardinals
- Favorite recipe? Willing to share it? Whatever my husband cooks. I am sure he would share!
- If you were stranded on a desert island and were allowed to bring 3 things, what would they be? My husband (He is always equipped with a knife and a fishing pole), chapstick, and strap my two little dogs to the big one so I could bring all 3.
- Who is your celebrity crush? Eric Church & Mike Matheny (Cardinals Manager)
- What would the title of your autobiography be? “Heartbreak and Happiness”
- Have you ever been told you like a celebrity? If yes, who? Nope. Too unique I guess.
- What is your biggest pet peeve? When people tailgate while driving.
- What is your worst fear? Bees.
- What is something no one at the office knows about you? All my socks are categorized by “rights” and “lefts”.
Getting to know Kristie Lawrence…
Kristie is an Account Executive in our Commercial Lines department here at Gallen. If you have your business insurance with Gallen, you may have already been lucky enough to speak to Kristie. She specializes in the larger accounts at our agency. We spent a few minutes with her so you can know a little more about someone you work with!
Kristie has been working in the insurance industry for 37 years! After moving to Florida at the age of 22, a friend of a friend knew an insurance company that was hiring. She walked in and was hired on the spot. It was GEICO and she still talks to the woman who hired her to be her insurance “girl”. Kristie has one son and one daughter and one beautiful granddaughter. No pets presently but she does have one grand-dog and 2 grand-cats.

- If you could have one super power, what would you choose? “The ability to take away pain & suffering – mental and physical. “

- Favorite sport & team? “Has always been baseball and I used to follow the Atlanta Braves”
- Favorite Recipe? Willing to share it? “My 3 most requested recipes are Black Coffee Chocolate Cake, Yum-Yum Pudding and Pumpkin Rolls. And Yes, I share them all the time.”
- If you were stranded on a desert island and were allowed to bring 3 things, what would they be? “The book ‘Gone with the Wind’, a pet dog and matches”
- Who is your celebrity crush? “Matt Damon”
- Have you ever been told you look like a celebrity? If yes, who? “No, but I have been told more times than I can remember that I should be a stand-up comic! (That’s close to being an insurance person, isn’t it??!)”

- What is your worst fear? “That ‘something’ will happen to my granddaughter.”

Dave is the Claims Manager here at Gallen Insurance. He has been working in the insurance industry for 46 years and started at Aetna P&C. Dave is married with two children and 5 grandchildren. We subjected Dave to a few more fun questions…

Amy is our new Vice President of Commercial Lines at Gallen. We spent a few minutes with her so you can know a little more about someone you will be working with!
Amy has been working in the insurance industry for 25 years. She started at Travelers as a commercial lines rater and has become our highly detailed and motivated Vice President of the Commercial Department. Amy is married to her husband (and fellow Gallen employee) Bill Fox. She is blessed with her son Cammeron (wife LeeAnn), two step-daughters Madison and Allie and 2 beautiful grandsons, Sorin & Rowan. And don’t forget their 3 crazy little Shih Tzus, Lulu Belle, Jingle Bell and Pia. Amy graduated Summa Cum Laude of Albright College with a Bachelors degree in Business Management.

Getting to know Marisa Promutico…
Marisa is an Account Manager in our Personal Lines Department. We spent a few minutes with her so you know a little more about someone you will be working with!
Marisa has been in the insurance industry for 13 years. She started working as a receptionist in an insurance agency and worked her way up to a top sales and service leader! Marisa is married to her wonderful husband, Julian and they have 2 children, Nate (8) and Christian (2). Also we cannot leave out her pug, Max and Bella their cat who was a stray that was lucky enough to find their home. Marisa attended and graduated from Holly Name (now Berks Catholic) and continued her education at the PACE Institute with a degree in Business Management.
We asked Marisa a few interesting questions to get an idea of what she is all about.

Getting to know Jay Mahoney…
Jay is our resident Health and Life Specialist here at Gallen. We spent a few minutes with him so you can know a little more about him.
Jay has been in the insurance industry for 15 years. He is licensed in Health, Life and also Property and Casualty. He specializes in Benefits and you will see from his recent accomplishments he is very good at what he does.
Jay has been happily married to his wife, Donna for over 52 years. They have 4 children and nine grandchildren. Jay has been a fighter of a balanced billing issue that has affected our local area. He recently attended a hearing in Harrisburg testifying about the issues. We have posted a link to the video and the Reading Eagle article regarding this ongoing issue. He continues to support our local community and we are very proud of him for everything he has accomplished and overjoyed that he is a part of our Gallen Team.
