Happening in July…
What: Humane Society of Berks County presents Pints for Pups. All proceeds from Pints for Pups go directly to veterinary and pet care programs for people and animals in some of our most under-served and impoverished areas. August Events…
What: Annual Grings Mill Run
The Pagoda Pacers A.C., Reading, PA is Proud to Present the 37th Annual Grings Mill Run 5k & 10K Races & 1/2 Mile Kids Run. “Pennsylvania’s Prettiest Race”!!! When: Sunday, August 3th, 2014 9:00 A.M Where: Grings Mill Park (across from Penn State Berks), 2083 Tulpehocken Rd, Reading, PA Regist./ number pickup opens at 7:30 a.m. 5k/10k starts at 9:00 a.m., Fun Run approx 10:15. Clock at finish, refreshments, mile splits, instant results and Live Band. Finish on historic bridge over spillway. COURSE: 99% flat & Zero Traffic; VERY scenic course!!! BONUS: no need to decide which event you want to do now; make your decision race day when you know better how hot it is and how fit you are! Other: Race application. What: The Shillington Business Association (SBA) are having their Summer Mixer, which is open to businesses in Cumru, Brecknock, Kenhorst, Mohnton, and Shillington townships. People from outside the area are usually welcome to come, especially if invited by a member. What: Muhlenberg Wine & Dine. Sponsored by the Muhlenberg Lions & Rotary Club. You bring your own picnic dinner and lawn chair or blanket. Wine will be available for purchase from Vynecrest, Clover Hill and Nissley wineries. Music to be provided by The Uptown Band. Where: Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 5:30-8, doors open at 4PM. What: Christian Music Fest “Jesus in Motion” fundraiser benefitting the Hope Rescue Mission of Reading, PA. Accepting donations for the Rescue Missions of Non-Perishable Food Items and Cash Donations. When: Saturday, September 6, 2014 1:00 pm Where: 363 Beagle Road, Lebanon, PA
What: The Shillington Business Association is holding their Annual Car Cruise. Admission free with donation of non-perishable food or cleaning items for the Mifflin Community Food Ministry.
